    Qiong Li, PhD

    Visiting PhD Student

Qiong is a Visiting Ph.D. Student at the Tian Lab. With a strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering, she specializes in developing computational strategies to untangle high-dimensional biological data. Her previous work heavily featured machine learning applications in single-cell analysis, spatial transcriptomics mapping, and early cancer detection. Currently, she is channeling her computational expertise into the field of neuroscience. At the Tian Lab, Qiong is passionate about building AI-driven bioinformatic frameworks to decode the complex epigenomic and spatial programs underlying neural degeneration. Her research interest lies at the intersection of predictive modeling and neurobiology, leveraging advanced algorithms to translate massive multi-omics datasets into actionable insights for therapeutic target discovery. Before her research journey in Boston, she conducted visiting research in California. Outside the realm of data and code, she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
